Our legendary story (based on an actual 15th-century figure) tells of Dick leaving London disconsolately with his cat after failing to find a job, only to return after hearing Bow Bells pealing in a rhythm which he understands to be saying “Turn again Whittington, thrice Lord Mayor of London.”

In our pantomime the evil King Rat is threatening to take over London. Only the penniless but brave Dick Whittington and his trusty feline sidekick, Tiddles, can stop the rodent’s quest for supremacy.
