This show is a fairytale set in the Middle East in the early 1900s, in a Baghdad. Here, we find large pots of precious oils, camel caravans, and no weapons of mass destruction more lethal than a sabre. Kasim Baba, the richest man in all Baghdad, aided by his cantankerous wife Olive Baba, is the terror of all his tenants in the bazaar. Kasim’s younger brother, Ali Baba, works as a barber in the bazaar, close to the Sunset Cafe run by Fatima Kebab and the Folies Baghdad, owned by aging showgirls Vanilla and Delight.
